Using username & password authenticated proxies

Note: these type of proxies are particularly useful, if you are planning to share sessions with virtual assistants, clients, partners or friends.

In case you have proxies, which are authenticated by a Username and a Password, this page will guide how to implement them in a Muliloginapp session. Before you start, make sure you know 5 things (if you don’t, ask your proxy service provider):

  • Proxy type (SOCKS4, SOCKS5, HTTP/s)
  • Proxy host/address
  • Proxy port
  • Proxy Username
  • Proxy Password

Once you know all of the above mentioned things, you are ready to get started.

  1. Add a browser profile
  2. In “Proxy settings” choose the type of proxy you are using
  3. Insert host and port of the proxy (e.g. host: 12.123.455.12 and port: 8100)
  4. Insert Username and Password of the proxy into their respective fields
  5. Turn ON the function of “Verify proxy outgoing IP” – this function will launch the browser session only if you are securely connected to the proxy. Note: back-connect or super proxies will not work with this feature turned on.
  6. Configure the browser profile, selecting options that you need
  7. Save the browser profile
  8. Launch the browser profile and verify if the IP address is the proxy you inserted

  3. Insert host and port of the proxy (e.g. host: 12.123.455.12 and port: 8100)
  4. Keep the Username and Password fields empty
  5. Turn OFF the function of “Verify proxy outgoing IP”
  6. Configure the browser profile, selecting options that you need
  7. Save the browser profile
